The Mission

The Heart and Armor Foundation aims to protect the health of veterans, and to connect civilians to the experience of military service.

The Pathway

In 2012, the Heart and Armor collaborative team began conducting research and developing innovative support for veterans. Our team of veterans, scientists, clinicians has published findings in peer-reviewed scientific journals and produced public events experienced by thousands of civilians.

The Model

Our developmental model has been efficient and generative, and will remain so. The success of Heart and Armor Foundation pilot studies has generated over $10 million in grants for further research from scientific funding agencies, and have built a portfolio of work that exceeds philanthropic contributions by a margin of 5:1. Our results and progress are publicly accessible.
